Located with in the very characteristic urban texture; the project is a 130 room boutique hotel where the diverse dense and rich architecture of the historical Odunpazari houses has been a major design inspiration

Organized around a courtyard which is typical to the neighbourhood, the building not only aims to create layers of urban space both inside and outside but also to deal with high density by responding to the various important issues of scale and daylight. The retail zone located at the ground level serves the neighbourhood in order to revitalize the street life again while the courtyard that is located at -400 level creates an intimate defined openspace for various public functions of the hotel like the restaurant; the gym and the spa. The courtyard also brings daylight not only to these public zones located under the ground level but also the multipurpose hall that is located underneath it through skylights. The main circulation of the hotel is along the interior facade of the courtyard not only creating a constant dynamism of movement for the courtyard but also resulting in daylight spatious corridors with courtyard views that are missing in most of the typical hotel buildings. The facade of the hotel aims to break the monotonous repetitive nature of a hotel facade by creating bigger urban scale cluster of rooms. The copper and concrete frames of the facade not only take inspiration from the chandigarh by le corbusier but also mimic the stacked dense urban silhoutte of the surrounding urban area.
